Description:

SymbOS.Commwarrior.D infects Series 60 mobile phones. It propagates using Bluetooth and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages, and Multimedia Cards (MMC) as a randomly named .sis file.

SymbOS.Commwarrior.D removal procedures requires technical know-how on  computer troubleshooting. It is better to consult your LAN Administrator or Technical Persons to avoid additional damage on your computer if modifications on Services and Registry have to be done.

  

 

 

MANUAL REMOVAL:

1. Install a file manager program on the device if none is present.
2. Enable to view the files in the system folder on the Options.

3. Delete the following malicious files:
[DriveLetter]\system\apps\UltraPlayer\ultraplayer.exe
[DriveLetter]\system\apps\UltraPlayer\inition.mdl

4. Delete the following files from the device's memory card:
e:\system\recogs\inition.mdl
e:\system\wmedias\inition.mdl
e:\system\wmedias\ultraplayer.exe
e:\system\wmedias\Codec.sis

5. Exit the file manager.
6. Restart the device
